Theme Thursday - Unfinished

Thought I'd have a go at "Theme Thursday" which I found on Dave's site. This week's theme is "Unfinished". I thought I'd put up a couple of pictures of projects I've been working on for up to nine years. The first picture is the saucer section of a model of the Enterprise D. I've been working on this since I got it in 1995. I spent ages and ages painting every second panel, only to decide that I wasn't happy with the colour - it was too *blue*. So it's been stuck there ever since.

The second picture is of a model of the Titanic. I've been working on that one since 1998. Every so often I get it down and do some more work on it. I'm actually putting quite a lot of effort into doing it right, so it's taking a very long time (that, and I go for years at a time without doing anything on it!)

Man oh man do I know where you are coming from. I must have a dozen models in an ongoing process of being built. Plus I have a battalion of Civil War miniatures that I have been painting for over two years for a game that I play somewhat regularly. Good luck on those models.

I hope you like Theme Thursday. When I first started blogging, I never knew what to write, so I was constantly searching for new ideas, surveys, and crazy stuff like that. Now that I find it easy to write in my blog, the only two I've kept are Theme Thursday and the Friday Five.

I have the exact same Enterprise, and I used the paint that came with my kit (kind of color-by-number) and found that it was too blue. Mine had little lights that you put inside of it too. I wound up buying these paint pens from an art store so I could literally 'color' it in, but I never finished it, nor have I ever used the paint pens. I wonder where they are. I wonder if they've dried up?
