The piles are dissipating

But ever so slowly. Each time I think I'm nearly done with a pile, I think of somewhere else that similar crap is located, and of course must be assimilated so it's all in the same place. This includes boxes full of stuff in the storage cage. And I'm sure that some of the stuff that's up here should really be in boxes in the storage cage. hrmm. methinks this is going to take some time yet to sort out.

The power died again last night after I went to bed, for perhaps another hour or so. It's been back ever since. It wasn't actually the thunderstorm that did it (at least I suspect not directly) .. the power went out a good half an hour before it even started raining. Just one of those things I guess.

The stickiness is still not letting up. Don't know how much more of this I can take. Had another storm today, but all it did was just make things muggier :(

Argh. I *hate* when the power has been going out all day, and continues until bedtime. I always have that insecurity of "What if the power flashes during the night while I sleep and the clock resets?" I live in fear of oversleeping even though most days I wake up a few minutes before the alarm goes off, because I have a OCD tendency to always go to bed and get up at the same time. (12:30-7:00, BTW) It totally ruins my night, because I wake myself up every couple hours in alarm to check the clock to see if I've overslept yet. So basically I'm assured of getting up on time, having been up practically all night.

Easy way around that - set the alarm on your mobile phone :)

That's what I did at 3am when I looked up and saw the alarm clock flashing away.

I'm old fashioned and have wind up alarm clocks, but with the move i've had to resort to mobile phones. I never trust clocks that plug into the wall.

There is an easy solution they have a new alarm clock out that works great and has many nice features but the best feature is that it sets itself when you plug it in therefore if your power goes out in the middle of the night as soon as it comes back on your clock will reset itself back to your settings. We have one and love it. We never have to worry about our alarm not going off any more. We got ours at Walmart so they must be easy to find...
